Cape Cod and the Islands are known for their wooden shingled homes. When the shingles are first put on the house they are a pale brown, but as the wind and salt air weather them they become the grey color that they are famous for. Fill in the quarter board with initials, dates or a house name. Stitch this belt with long and short stitches for the shingles or continental stitch, whichever tickles your fancy!
