When the shingles are first put on a house they are a pale brown, but as the wind and salt air weathers them they become the grey color that they are famous for. Fill in the quarter board with initials, names, dates or a house name. Stitch this belt with long and short stitches for the shingles or continental stitch, whichever tickles your fancy!
